Allagash Wilderness Waterway 7 Day Canoe Trip

Overnight

Come join me for the trip of a lifetime in the safe, healing environment of the Maine woods canoeing the historic Allagash Wilderness Waterway. Enjoy paddling along the remote wilderness while viewing the abundant wildlife and mountain scenery. Learn about the vast history of the logging industry that built the state of Maine and view the miracle that is the ghost trains. Two giant steam engines brought into the Maine woods across the ice of Moosehead Lake in order to move logs from one watershed to another. Spend a night on Pillsbury Island, the farthest point Henry David Thoreau made it into the Allagash. Fish for wild native brook trout below Churchill Dam and take a tour of the logging museum at what was once a small village. Trips are seven days in length, all food, gear, and transportation is included. Price is $1800 per person. Minimum of four people.
