The Peak Fly Shop

Peak Fly Fishing Outfitters (Colorado Outfitters License #2308) is the Peak Fly Shop’s guide service. We operate on the Arkansas and South Platte Rivers and have access to several private waters. We offer full- and half-day guided trips for individuals, groups, and corporate parties. Our standard rates for individuals and small parties offer one guide for up to three anglers. Our rates feature absolutely no hidden costs – we provide all necessary equipment, including rods and reels, waders and boots, flies, and all terminal tackle. Lunch is included in the cost of a full-day trip. What is not included in our costs are fishing licenses, lunch on half-day trips, transportation costs, and guide gratuties. Your guide will reach out within 48 hours of your booked trip is meeting location changes, start time changes, or any other changes. Before booking, please include all participating angler's height, weight/dress size, and boot size.. Also please submit a preferred deli lunch order for each member if booking a full day. After booking, all participating members must purchase a fishing license of the day(s) you booked for fishing, which you can do through the link in the booking confirmation email. PLEASE NOTE: When you book this class, it includes the Thursday night classroom portion at our Colorado Springs location from 6 pm to 9pm and a half fishing day the coming Saturday meeting at our Woodland Park location. To clarify, you are paying $225 +fees total for a Thursday and Saturday session. Call for any questions. Thank you. Our Introduction to Fly Fishing Classes are up and running for 2024. If you, or someone you know, is interested in learning the art of fly fishing, or just needs a refresher course, there is no better way to set about it than this class. Each class is two sessions. The first, on a Thursday evening from 6pm to ~10pm, covers equipment, rigging, knots, reading water and basic entomology – a comprehensive classroom session with small class size, a fantastic manual (that is yours to take home), and a thorough and practiced approach to teaching fly fishing. The following Saturday students will head to the river to fish public waters – the same waters you’ll fish as an area resident. No stocked ponds that don’t teach you about wild trout! The river portion is a half-day trip with a heavy focus on education. All equipment is provided; no need to buy any gear. The class is $225.00 per person for both sessions. Classes are limited to 4 students each.

Introduction to Fly Tying Class Learn the basics of tying your own trout flies. Class consists of either two three hour sessions or one six hour session. Students receive lots of hands-on instruction and students will be loaned a vise and tools to use during the class. In addition, we give all students a 10% discount on all fly-tying purchases during the class! Cost of class is $75.00 and advanced registration is required. Class size is limited to six students.
