Introduction to Gear: Learn the ins-and-outs of rods, reels, fly lines, leaders, tippet and more. This class is also a great stepping stone to help figure out what to buy, and more importantly what NOT to buy if you’re a beginner angler. Bugs for Beginners: Matching the hatch is what it’s all about! From stoneflies to midges, learning the bugs and their lifecycles can be just as important as the fishing itself. Choosing the right fly can be intimidating and nerve racking…not anymore! Casting: Get started with the basics of the Pick Up and Lay Down cast, False Casting, shooting line and playing & landing fish with one of our top instructors. Fishing: Put your new skills to the test while getting guided on our private, stocked ponds! Class times: 7am-Noon or 3-8 pm. (Spring/Fall times may vary)
