Blue River: Walk & Wade Trip

SingleDay

The Blue river is one of the most scenic rivers in Colorado and offers amazing fly fishing opportunities. At just 65 miles in length, it winds its way from its headwaters at Hoosier Pass flowing north through Summit county until its confluence with the Colorado river. The tailwater section through the town of Silverthorne is home to some of the largest trout in Colorado. The magnificent water is typically gin clear and the trout are equally beautiful and powerful. In the Autumn months, this is also a great spot to target a fire-engine red Kokanee salmon! Get ready for a fun-filled day above 8500 ft. elevation in one of Colorado's favorite trout streams; and if you're patient and focused, you might just land yourself a personal best trout! Half Day: 4 hours - Includes all fishing gear(rod & reel, waders or wet wading socks, wading boots, all flies and misc. gear), water and snack. Full Day: 6 hours - Includes all fishing gear(rod & reel, waders or wet wading socks, wading boots, all flies and misc. gear), water and lunch.
