About: This trip is floating down the San Juan river for trophy fish near Pagosa Springs, CO. This is a great option for beginners all the way through advanced anglers. We have several different sections that we can float through this river! Some sections are better for numbers of fish caught. Other sections are better for trophy, size fish!! To participate in fishing on this trip you must be at least 12 years of age. Anyone 8 or older is welcome to ride along on this trip. This is where Piedra River Anglers comes in! Pike are labeled, "the fish of 1000 casts," meaning a lot of times you aren't due to get an eat from a pike until you have cast 1000 times. Carp can be some of the pickiest fish when it comes to catching them with a fly rod but this is a very achievable thing! About Ice fishing trips are held on privately and exclusively leased waters. Access to these waters are only available through Piedra River Anglers. Please note that there is an additional $75 private land fee that is added to the base price of these trips for access to private leases. Our guides were the first to offer guided ice fishing trips in Pagosa Springs, CO. We have the most knowledge of the area and we are excited to share this with you! Our public ice fishing trips tend to produce more fish rather than bigger fish. If you are looking for trophy fish, you will want to check out our private land guided ice fishing trips! Be sure to check the weather and dress appropriately. If you are skiing this trip, the same items of clothing you use to ski in will suffice for an ice fishing trip. Access to lease is only available with a Piedra River Anglers guide. Private leases are usually closer to the town of Pagosa Springs. Lunch is provided on full day guided fishing trips. Private water ensures that you have the entire section of water to yourself and your group but doesn't necessarily mean better fishing. Private water tends to present better chances at sizeable fish but do sometimes require at least a little bit of experience to hook and land these fish. If you have any questions as to which water may be right for you and your group, please call! Please note that there is an additional $75 private land fee that is added to the base price of these trips for access to private leases. All gear for fishing is provided including rods, reels, waders, boots, flies, leaders, and tippet. More Info - This is a private land trip. - No hiking is involved getting into these fisheries.

There can be other fisherman around in public water but this is usually not an issue a we can spread out across the river or lake. Lunch is provided on guided full day fishing trips.
