The Flatirons are a world class climbing destination steeped in history. Located right outside downtown Boulder, these rock formations offer many unique adventures. Climb a moderate 1,000 ft face trad climb or a difficult, overhanging sport climb and anything in between. Our featured climbs are the First Flatiron (5.6, 10 Pitches) and the Third Flatiron (5.4, 8 Pitches). Both climbs feature an alpine-like quality with varied terrain, big views, and exhilarating rappels. The Third Flatiron is a perfect climb for a first timer outside where as the First Flatiron is longer and more varied than the Third with huge flakes, dihedrals, and the rollercoaster ridge.
