Wading can present limits to angler access and coverage of pristine trout and smallmouth fly fishing. Floating the Clinch River, Holston River , Little Pigeon, Pigeon River and the French Broad bring the angler in contact with world-class fly fishing for trophy trout and smallmouth bass. With the typical float trip lasting 6-8 hours (full day) or 4 hours (half day), it is a great way to see and fish miles of a river in one trip. Please note that float trips are typically going to be a longer drive than a wade trip, and that times are not set until your guide contacts you with the generation schedule.
Fishing license and gratuities are not included.
*Our float trips are dependent on generation schedule of the river. The schedule is not released until the evening before. If booking a float, expect a phone call from the guide after 5pm est the day before, for in depth details (meeting location, times, etc..)
Meeting location will vary dependent on generation schedule, expect a minimum drive of an hour to an hour and a half for trout floats.*

Wade Trips are offered in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville. This is by far our most popular trip, and is perfect if you’re new to fly fishing or experienced anglers alike. Children 12 years of age and older are welcome on our trips. Some light hiking is required as our local streams are mountainous in nature. Trout in the GSMNP are 4-10" on average. The GSMNP has not been stocked with trout since the 1960's meaning all of the fish we target are wild and/or native to our area.
We also offer wade trips outside of the national park in our state stocked waters. These trips are most successful in the cooler months (Nov-March) and can yield some larger, stocked trout. All trips are catch and release only.
**YOU WILL HAVE TO PROVIDE YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRETY OF THE TRIP. Fishing license and guide gratuity are not included in trip price.
**Starting MARCH 1 2023, a parking pass is required for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Please visit https://www.nps.gov/grsm/planyourvisit/fees.htm for more info on the pass and where to purchase.
